At Carolina Ready Mix we are focused educating builders and the public on the benefits of using concrete as a building product. Carolina Ready Mix uses cement produced in part from recycled products, we offer the use of fly ash in our concrete which utilizes recycled coal ash to replace cement, minimizing the carbon footprint and helping to alleviate material that might otherwise find its way to landfills. Concrete helps to reduce the heat island effect in urban settings as well as reduces the amount of energy for lighting of parking lots because of its reflective characteristics. All of our materials used to produce concrete are local materials, produced and/or manufactured within a 500 mile radius helping to lower transportation costs and associated impacts to the environment.
